Meeting with Bruno, our farmer, and the “Pepinieres Robin, the company that planted the oak trees The follow-up of the plantation is very positive We experienced a perfect weather since the trees have been planted.

From June to September 2007
Last summer was wet and hot, whether the holidaymakers like or not. And watching our kids complaining, we couldn’t help thinking that we were lucky. What a beautiful and wet summer!

From September to November 2007
Since September, we focus on communication of Ronds de Sorciere. Thanks to a very effective press officer, we got in touch and raised interest from many specialized journalists and professionals from the restaurant trade. Dominique Bouchet, who’s watching us from the very beginning in November 2006 has been very enthusiastic about our project. He’s now an aficionado of Ronds de Sorciere.

Ronds de Sorcière : Since we launched the company, you’ve always been a very passionate and critical, could you tell us what made you so enthusiastic about Ronds de Sorciere ?
Dominique Bouchet : I’ve always been passionate with this unique mushroom and I remember, when I was Chef at “Le Crillon”, I used to spend hours and hours before buying my truffles to ensure I bought the best quality. It’s very important to know where the truffles have been harvested and they’ve been cultivated Thanks to you, I feel confident.

RdeS : What do you expect from Ronds de Sorcière ?
D. B. : Japanese people are very fond of truffles and they don’t mind paying very high prices to get them. As truffles are very scarce, prices tend to go up….According to me, the Ronds de Sorcière ‘s concept should bring more efficiency on this niche market.

RdeS : What kind of links did you seal with « Ronds de Sorciere “ and with the oak trees ?
D. B. : You’right. I have to acknowledge that sentiment has been part of my decision to support this project as I’ve been the first Chef to be contacted. I’m very proud of it. My tree is becoming kind of my son and I’ve the feeling that I’ve sponsored this noble project in its very early stage.

RdeS : Beyond the dream, what did convince you to own your oak trees ?
D. B. : Ideed, I can imagine myself walking in the middle of my oak trees and realize a childhood dream…Et why not, one day, I’ll share this dream with my friends and walk with them through the trees … Moreover, Ronds de Sorciere gave me the opportunity to be the first Chef to own my own oak trees. And I think it’s truly valuable to use its owns truffles when I’m cooking a course for my clients. It’s very differentiating and brings to the course a unique personal touch.

The 2007 vintage is almost one year old and its price will be stable at Eur 187 over greetings season. The 2008 vintage will be planted in February 2008. At this time, the 2007 vintage will be repriced higher. So you can pick one of the two vintages, or a mix a both.
