We are pleased to announce that things are on track at Ronds de Sorciere

Ronds de Sorciere is now four months old and ,thanks to you, success is on its way.

From January to February 2007

We experienced the perfect weather for truffles oaks plantation. Pepinieres Robin, specialised in mycorhised oaks, affected a eight persons team during two weeks, to plant 4,000 oaks on "Les Sacristains" and "Le Four à chaux"
Now, the trees have taken roots. We'll meet with Pepinieres Robin, beginning of June to ensure this process has been completed.

Fom March to April

Our two main development priorities are sprinkling and oaks protection.

•Regarding the sprinkling, a very talented and experienced farmer will do the job and will water our truffieres if needed. It takes around 2 days for him and two other farmers to water our 4,000 oak trees.
However, March and April have been very rainy and sunny, perfect conditions for the oak trees to take roots
We've already worked on a irrigation system, and we'll implement it in due course to provide our truffles with the best environment.

•Regarding the oaks protection, we 've selected an electric fence powered with solar energy, from New Zealand. This kind of fences is very effective against kangaroos and dingos...We suspect these fences will be effective aginst our french wild boars.

From May to June 2007

Our truffieres are getting bigger. We are currently buying three more hectares to the east of "les Fours à Chaux".
The plantation is planned in Autumn, as soon as Pepinieres Robin give the green light.

Beginning of June

•Visit of the truffieres with Pepinieres Robin and Mr Bruno, our local farmer to check that the trees have taken roots and set up a planning for regular sprinkling.
• Preparation of the Mother's and Father's day. No outdoor advertising planned, but we will give an exceptional credit of Ronds to the farfadets : For every new sponsoring, we double the amount of Ronds earned for each oak tree offered for Mother's and Father's day.
Promote Ronds de Sorciere and earn free Ronds to get free oak trees.
